Peter Harle
Mayoral Candidate for Liverpool City Council
Peter Harle intends to run as the Liverpool Community Independents Team candidate for both Mayor and North Ward Councillor.
He has lived in Liverpool for 65 years, has 4 daughters and 12 grandchildren also living in Liverpool, hence very much interested in our Community.
Peter believes there is much to be done to ensure a better future for everyone including the business community that provides job opportunities necessary for our area to grow. We need to go back to the basics of Rates, Roads and Rubbish to address the enormous backlog of infrastructure neglected for many years.
As a Councillor for the past 13 years, he has gained extensive knowledge of Council, its operations and effects on ratepayers and residents.
Mr.Harle has the necessary experience to be Mayor and making decisions in the best interests of our community, and being an Independent, he is not influenced by Party Politics.

Peter believes Council should concentrate on the basics of Rates, Roads and Rubbish.
Peter wants to see Liverpool grow as a Regional City and become the Great Southwest but not with overdevelopment.
Peter lives locally in Hinchinbrook, has 4 daughters and 12 grandchildren, all live and work in Liverpool, so he has a vested interest in what happens in Liverpool.
Peter wants to ensure that Liverpool can sustain new growth with employment opportunities for its residents.
Peter is one of the most honest and hardworking Councillors attending all meetings, committees and all Council run resident forums.
Peter Represents residents at many local Planning Panels including the Sydney Western Sydney Planning Panel.

DR CRISS MOORE
Criss is married to Kevin, has 3 children and has lived in Liverpool for 37 years. Criss is a full-time school teacher and a casual University Lecturer as well as contributing to Community Kids club and her long-time passion to assist the homeless.

Has a Bachelor of Teaching with honours and a Ph.D. in Educational Philosophy.

Lobbied vigorously against a major developer in the Liquor and Gaming Industry to prevent two inappropriate venues being approved in two suburbs of Liverpool threating the health, safety and wellbeing of local schoolchildren, residents and aged care facilities”.

Was nominated for “Woman of the Year” for her community work specifically working with disadvantaged children

Received “Order of Liverpool Award” (OLA) in 2017 for her community work with the homeless and disadvantaged children

Is passionate about putting communities needs of health and safety before ad hoc and inappropriate developments


MARC CONNERS
Marc is a successful third generation racehorse trainer born and bred in Liverpool. Marc is part of a local successful well known training family and lives and works in the Warwick Farm Precinct with his wife Michelle and his three children, Mikaela, Mia and Mitchell (who has joined in his father’s business).

Was instrumental in improving the Warwick Farm Racing Precinct traffic problems and limited parking facilities in the area

Has lobbied local government to ensure developments not suited to the area are not approved

Would like to see upgrades and improvements in sporting and recreational facilities

Would like to see better lighting in graffiti hotspots and stop vandalism of commercial and private property

Wants better prevention of illegal dumping in both urban and rural areas
BRIONA JOCIC
Briona was born and raised in Liverpool to parents who immigrated from Yugoslavia To rural Liverpool, where she still lives.

Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Media Studies at Macquarie University

Has a varied background in marketing, human resources management where she has consulted in both the private and public sector, including working for a major service provider for Sydney Airport

Has major concerns about the development of 2 nd Sydney Airport and raised her concerns as part of the Badgerys Creek Taskforce for 3 years – discussing the impacts or rural families and surrounding areas of Liverpool. She believes there should be fair and ethical outcomes for small landowners

Is passionate about improving liveability in Liverpool by combatting speeding drivers, noisy vehicles and urban streets that are too narrow, along with improving the presentation and cleanliness of Liverpool.

Believes that our recreational venues have become noise hazards and need to be policed so as not to restrict participation for our younger, older and more vulnerable community members


RAYMAN SOLAGNA
Rayman lives in the Liverpool area with his wife and his 3 small children who attend local public schools. Rayman is a State Manager for a large plumbing company and on his weekends, he plays soccer as the Captain of Reserve Premier League Team for Moorebank

Possesses strong leadership, public speaking and advocacy skills that he believes is needed in all Councillors to advance Liverpool as a community

Would like to see a long-term vision and direction for the community of Liverpool going forward

We are the only Independent Party with continuous representation in Liverpool for more than 27 years, with 7 members elected to Council, including a Mayor and 2 Deputy Mayors since 1994.

We are a group of local residents concerned with local issues and making decisions in the best interests of all Liverpool residents.

We will ensure Council is transparent, financially responsible, and always in the best interest of all ratepayers.

Our goal is to fix the backlog of roads and provide badly needed parking.

We will clean up our major entrances into Liverpool that are our gateways to the west.

We will oppose Cemeteries and Waste Recycling facilities near residential areas.

We will ensure that clean air is of utmost importance in any Industry in Liverpool.

We will ensure that more tree planting occurs in urban areas to reduce heat problems.

We will ensure sustainable development occurs with infrastructure of utmost importance.

We will address the backlog of stormwater and flood related issues in the Rural Communities.

We will address the enormous illegal dumping occurring in Rural areas.

We will ensure that Liverpool Council, as a major employer, promotes insourcing of staff not outsourcing to private enterprise and ensure that the City Works department expands to fix increasing backlogs of maintenance and City presentation.
